Sugary drinks are also helpful in calming down your stomach. However, you must avoid drinks such as coffee or orange juice that can cause acidity.

3. Eat Ginger
Ginger is a natural remedy for nausea. You may consume the ginger in the form of ginger ale or ginger root capsules. You can also cut fresh ginger and add it to your food or drink and get the same benefits.

4. Have Bananas
You can have bananas as a remedy for nausea. You can also eat bananas to prevent nausea. It is worthwhile to have bananas even after you throw up. Medications such as Bonine and Dramamine are available without a doctor’s prescription and can be used to get rid of mild cases of nausea. Whereas the active ingredient in Dramamine is dimenhydrinate, Bonine has meclizine in it to fight nausea. The side effects of meclizine are fewer compared to dimenhydrinate. These medications are mainly used to treat nausea related to motion sickness.

10. Consult A Physician
If nausea persists despite taking any of the treatments as mentioned above or remedies, you must consult your physician immediately. Nausea could be because of some other underlying medical condition that only a medical doctor will be able to diagnose.
